2025 Summer/Fall Development Academy

Development Academy Player Evaluations:

May 20 & 22: 5 pm - 6:45 pm

Summer 2025 Specifics:

Start Date: Tuesday, July 8th
July & August Training Days: Tuesdays & Thursdays (5:30 pm - 6:45 pm)
July 23: Jamboree (Poulsbo)
August 6: Jamboree (Bainbridge Island)
August 15-17: Island Cup Tournament

Fall 2025 Specifics:

September-November Training Days: Wednesdays & Fridays (5:30 pm - 6:45 pm)
Additional Fall Training: Mondays, 9/15 - 10/13 (5:30 pm - 6:30 pm)
Fall NPSL 10-Game Season: September 6 through mid-November (Saturday games)

Bainbridge Island FC is a member club of Washington Youth Soccer, and our teams play within the North Puget Sound League.

Within the fall league, our Development Academy teams will play at least 50% of their games on the Island and the remaining games with our partner clubs on Olympic Peninsula or against Seattle-based clubs. Our teams will play a 10-game fall season, with our Select teams playing a 12-game fall season. Our older teams then play Washington State Cup tournaments, while our Development Academy teams take a break to allow for other sports and activities before resuming in late January for their winter 6-game season (50% of the games on Bainbridge Island).

Winter Development Academy 2025

Our Winter Development Academy program will be at Woodward Turf Field.

BIFC’s Winter Development program supports the growth and development of players allowing them to prepare for our upcoming summer-fall Development Academy season. Our skill-based curriculum allows players to enhance their skills and love of the game through purposeful and fun activities. Training sessions will take place on Mondays and Wednesdays, with games on Saturdays at Woodward MS Turf.

Program Details:

Open to girls and boys within birth years 2016 and 2017.
Woodward fields for training sessions and games.
Monday (5:15-6:15pm) dates: Jan 27, Feb 3, 10, 24, Mar 3, 10, 17 & 24.
Wednesday (5:15-6:15pm) dates: Jan 29, Feb 5, 12, 26, Mar 5, 12, 19 & 26.
Game dates: Feb 8, Mar 1, 8, 15, 22 & 29.

While our Development Academy program plays within Select Soccer Leagues, we do not believe in tryouts for players within these young age groups.

We believe in "Soccer for All". Girls and boys joining the Development Academy typically play at recess and at home with family and friends, but we also have players new to soccer who have flourished and successfully advanced through the Development Academy and into Select Soccer, high school and college-level play.

We follow the BIFC Way and focus on individual player development at these young ages. Click on our Select Soccer page to view Age Group Objectives.

We believe that we can find "like-for-like" competition close to home. Fifty percent of our fall games will be on Bainbridge Island. Local games support our families, our soccer community and ultimately the development of our young players.
